Erik Leijonborg is a Swedish director and producer with extensive experience in developing and producing high-end film and television drama for both the Swedish and international market. He has directed and executive produced several successful television series, including Hamilton and Top Dog, with overall responsibility for creative vision, production, and delivery.
During the development of the TV series Ondskan, Erik founded Dream Free Productions as a platform for his own creative projects, with the ambition to drive strong, creator-led stories with international reach. The company is actively involved in both financing and production, fostering long-term collaborations that are artistically driven and commercially sustainable.
Dream Free’s most recent project is the feature film Doktor Glas, where the company participates as co-financier and producer. On the film, Erik also serves as director and co-writer, working closely with writers, directors, and key creative teams throughout the entire process, with a clear focus on vision, storytelling, and high artistic quality.
